Anthropic’s $30 Billion Funding Round Drives Valuation to $380 Billion

Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI assistant, has raised $30 billion in a funding round that more than doubles its valuation to $380 billion. The previous September valuation of $183 billion has been left far behind as investor appetite for AI companies continues to intensify.
The investment was led by GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, and Coatue Management, representing one of the most significant private capital raises on record. Such substantial backing from institutional investors validates Anthropic’s technology platform and market strategy.
The company’s financial performance has been extraordinary, with annualized revenue hitting $14 billion. Anthropic has achieved tenfold revenue growth year-over-year for three years running, a growth rate that places it among the elite performers in the global technology industry.
Claude Code, the company’s AI-powered coding tool launched for general availability in May 2025, has been a major contributor to revenue expansion. The product has found strong market acceptance among enterprises seeking to enhance developer capabilities through artificial intelligence.
Despite substantial expenditures on computing infrastructure and research talent, Anthropic forecasts improving financial metrics. The company expects to reduce its cash burn rate to approximately one-third of revenue by 2026, declining further to 9% by 2027, with profitability targeted for 2028.
