Vietnam, Singapore Aim to Strengthen Partnership in Technology and Innovation

During Trần Cẩm Tú’s official visit to Singapore, the Vietnamese leader engaged in discussions with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, focusing on enhancing their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The dialogue underscored the robust growth in economic, trade, and investment relations, particularly spotlighting sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, finance, and high technology.

The leaders reached a consensus on expanding cooperation into emerging sectors. This includes promising areas like artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and semiconductors, alongside data centers, clean energy, and green finance. An emphasis was also placed on the development of human resources as a critical component of their collaborative efforts.

Both parties acknowledged the significance of maintaining regular high-level exchanges. They emphasized the necessity of closer cooperation among government entities, businesses, and local authorities to foster new opportunities for sustainable growth. Such engagements are seen as pivotal to advancing the strategic interests of both nations.

Furthermore, Vietnam and Singapore committed to strengthening their coordination within ASEAN and other multilateral forums.
